Wednesday Weigh-In

We'll just get right to the scale.  It's not great but every little bit counts.
Down 0.4lbs from last week.  I wanted to lose 2lbs this week but I didn't do anything to make it happen.  It's amazing how when I eat right and exercise I see results.  So this week it's back to basics.  I went to the grocery store on Saturday so I can cook all week.  I'm also going to take advantage of the beautiful weather and get out more.  Of course with Easter being Sunday it's going to be hard to resist the candy.  I've told the Easter bunny that I don't need any candy.  (Yes i'm almost 25 years old and still get an Easter basket at my parents house.  Patrick's parents still give us baskets too!)  I ordered a dress for Easter but I don't think it's going to get here in time.  I ordered a size 8.  (I hope it fits when it does arrive.)
I'm adding a McLinky again this week...feel free to join in on the fun and add your Weigh-In right here.

Anniversary Celebration

I just realized I never posted about our anniversary day.  We had a great day.  It was supposed to be stormy but the rain was over by noon and it was gorgeous.  We started by heading to The Summit to do some window shopping.  They've opened some new stores that I wanted to check out.  Mainly James Avery.  I was given a beautiful charm bracelet from there for my college graduation from my great aunt and uncle and I wanted to show Patrick all the different charms and such.  We also went to Old Navy so that I could get a Jacket in a Packet.

It is basicly a modern day anorak.  I think they are so cute and with as much rain as we've had this year I'm sure I'll get some use out of it.  (Even though it's supposed to be beautiful all week)
We also went into Bed, Bath, and Beyond and I got a National Champions cup.  (I know i'm a bit obsessed, but what can I say I love my team!)  Patrick got an Auburn hat at the Campus Spirit store. It was so nice to just enjoy a nice day outside together.  We went to dinner at Carrabbas.  It was wonderful.  We finished up by watching out wedding dvd.  Patrick had not watched it yet. Neither of us remembered what was said so it was fun to get to watch and not be so nervous and actually listen to every word.
It was beyond perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Wednesday Weigh-In!

Ice Cream Man and Bunko

I love surprises!  Today when I got home from work Drew, Ava and Porter were here. (and my brother and two of Patrick's friends)  I just love when I get to see the kids.  It was beautiful today and they were playing in the yard.  We had a blast.  We skyped Elizabeth and just had a great time.  Then we got a real treat.  The ice cream man came to our neighborhood.  I heard him before anyone else did.  When Ava finally heard him she went running inside to see if her Daddy had any cash.  We then rushed to the street to wait on him to come back by on his way out of the neighborhood.  When he stopped I asked Porter what he wanted and he just kept saying ice cream.  We finally settled on Batman, Ava got a Scooby Doo, and Drew got an ice cream sandwich with chocolate ice cream.  They were in heaven. I brought a blanket outside and we just sat in the front yard and enjoyed the afternoon sun and our tasty treats.  Porter managed to get it from head to toe.  They were all so sweet.  They are some of the sweetest kids.  Out of nowhere Porter would yell my name from across the yard and then say "I yove you!" It was so sweet.  Then when he was talking to Elizabeth he told her he missed her.  It was the cutest thing.
Here are some photos of them enjoying their treats.

I just love this one of the three of them.
This is the only picture I took of Ally.  She stayed right with us the whole time. I made her go back inside when the big kids were finished and I stayed otuside with Porter while he finished his!

Also tonight I was invited to play bunko with my friend Brittany's group.  I've played several times with a couple of different groups and it is so much fun.  I didn't win but I did enjoy meeting new people and playing the game.  The theme was "Wigged Out" not everyone wore a wig but the few who did were pretty hilarious.  I didn't take any pictures but I had a blast.
Now I've got to get in the bed.  The alarm is going to go off way to early tomorrow.

2 Years Later...

Today years ago today Patrick and I tied the knot.  It was one of the best days of my life.  It was so special.  My parents throw a great party but this was one of their best.  They did an amazing job. We couldn't have asked for anything more.  It doesn't seem like it has been two years but I guess it has.  I think Patrck working nights makes it seem like it hasn't been that long.  I am still struggling to in my role as a wife.  I work on it daily it's tough balancing work, cooking, cleaning and family time.  We take it one day at a time and continue to grow and learn about ourselves and each other.

The Pearl...

Operation save the pink pearl was unsuccessful.  After numerous attempts Patrick regretfully called off the search around 8:30 this morning.  I am now is a bit of a pickle.  I'm not sure what to do with her mate.  I have one pink pearl that is lonely and missing it's mate.  What should I do with it?  I hate to just through it out.  But is seems silly to hold on to it knowing I'll never find the other.  They don't mean to much to me.  I did get them for my 21st birthday but not from anyone special or anything.  I just loved them.  They were the perfect size to wear day or night.  I have a fairly large collection of pearls missing their mate.  Sadly none of them are similar enough to be new mates.

Pearls and the Potty...

Tonight I went to a friends birthday party. It was a blast. It was at my bosses house. You'd think spending 7 hours a day together would be enough. I just love his family so much they are always such great company. Ally had a blast. They have the biggest toy box for their dogs and Ally loves it. She practically climbed in to enjoy her raw hide.

When I got home I walked in the basement and all of a sudden it hit me that I had to...well tinkle.  So I tried to hurry Ally into the house.  She wanted to visit with Sam and Gracie and have a bite of their food.  Meanwhile I am screaming at her to hurry because I really have to go and I didn't want to leave her down there.  She finally runs into the house so I run upstairs and drop my stuff (my purse, camera bag, Ally's bag, small tote with books and my keys, yes I am like the bag lady!) at the top of the stairs.  I run to the bathroom.  I go to sit on the potty and I hear a weird noise that sounds like a coin dropping into a fountain.  I luckily look down and there is my earring in the bottom of the bowl.  (Apparently when I flung off my camera bag I also ripped the back off one of my pearls.)  I cringe and stick my hand in, thank goodness the water was still clean.  I somehow managed to make it go into the hole on the front of the bowl and I couldn't get it.  All the while I am trying with all my might to not wet my pants.  I give up on the earring and run to the other bathroom.  I made it.  Barely!
Now I am concerned because I can't get my earring out of the toilet.  I am going to have to leave a note for the hubs so that he doesn't use it and maybe he can rescue my pearl.  I really hope that he can.  Those are like the only earrings I wear these days.
I know it's almost to much excitment for one to handle on a Friday night.  Tomorrow should be more exciting.  I have to get together Patrick's anniversary present.  I can't believe that we've been married to two years.  Any good ideas... (yes i know i'm very last minute)  The second anniversary is supposed to be cotton or china.  I know he doesn't want china so I'll probably go with cotton or something else entirely.

Wednesdsy Weigh-In

Tuesday started off as a pretty ugly day but by 3:00 the sun was shining and it was beautiful.  I made an executive decision tonight that I am not going to continue going to the Weight Wactchers meetings.  I like the meetings and I do feel that my weight is more official on their scales but I get a lot of motivation out of this blog and posting my weight here.  So I decided to save that $12 a week and use the tools that I learned to stay on a "plan".  If I feel that I need the support I'll go back but honesly I think I can do it on my own.  With that being said lets check out the scale.

Down 0.8lb from last week.  Which brings my total loss to 15.8lbs.
I know you are probably thinking that maybe I shouldn't quit going to the meetings.  I know I only lost 0.8lbs this week but I am very aware that I have not been eating the right things for about 3 weeks now.  I know that I need to do and I'm going to do it.  I have to go to the grocery store.  (I haven't been in almost a month, we have no food!)  I've already planned our meals for the month.  I love having a plan and I always function better when there is a plan involved.  So I'm going to get back in gear eating the more of the right foods and less of the wrong ones.  I am still so proud of my 15.8lbs that i'm no longer carrying around.  It's amazing how good you can feel when you're just a few pounds lighter.
My goals for this week are #1 Go to the store and cook according to the plan.  #2 Get moving, walk at least 30 minutes 3 times this week. and #3 I will be down at least 2 lbs next week.  I want to be at 140 for Easter.
Now it's your turn. Weigh-In on whatever you'd like and add your link here.

Monday, March 22, 2010

This past Friday I had a revelation.  As I arrived at work I was in a mood that screamed  Thank Goodness it's Friday.  When I was getting my things together to leave the office I looked at my boss and said "well there went another week."  I am excited when the weekend rolls around but I am reminded that another week has passed that I'll never get back.  (I wouldn't want last week back anyways)  This week when Friday rolls around I want to feel like i've accomplished something.  So I've got a little list started that may seem like things you should do every week ( and most are) but I haven't been doing them so I figured this would be a good place to start.
  • Plan meals for the next two weeks
  • Buy groceries
  • Dust
  • Vacuum (upstairs & downstairs)
  • Sweep
  • Clean both bathrooms
  • Organize the office & bills
  • Update the budget
  • Walk at least 3 days
I think that is all.  For this week.  There are so many things that I have been needing to do since we got married that I just haven't gotten done.  Maybe I can tackle some of them.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Shopping, Vampires, and Birthdays

I had a pretty good weekend.  No complaints here.  This was the last weekend of my sister's spring break so we went shopping for Easter dresses.  I got a romper for spring and she got two pairs of shoes.  Neither of us actually got an Easter dress.  We had a blast.  Mom went with us.  Mom got an Easter outfit.  So the trip wasn't a total waste.
While Mom was trying on clothes we had a photo shoot.

After shopping I met up with some friends of a friends to watch New Moon.  I was disappionted with the movie.  I usually am when I've read the book first.  I just love books and the movies are always so cheesy!
I wish I would have taken pictures of all the decorations they were all so cute!

Today we went down to my Uncle Phillip's house. It was his birthday yesterday so we met up for cake.  Any excuse for cake right.
These are my mom's brothers and sisters. (L-R) Babo, (Aunt Fran, Uncle Ron pictured), Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Phillip, Mom and Uncle Donald.  So fun! They are all pretty much crazy but I love them.
Porter was pooped from the party.  Ally was pretty tired too.
I just love her.  She is always up for a party!
Porter wanted to hold Ally on the ride home.  He did so good with her.  He just held her and loved on her.  They are pretty fond of each other.
After I got home we went to Patrick's parents house to show them the pictures from our trip to the mountians.  I just love going to visit with them.  They are two of the sweetest people I've ever met in my life.

All in all it was a great weekend.  It's cold again and going to be cold tomorrow.  I'm ready for it to actually turn warm and stay.  I long for sunshine on a daily basis.

New Moon

Well you see...I've never really been into vampires. In fact I've actually always been terrified of them. I watched Interview with the Vampire when I was to young and was convinced that Brad Pitt lived in the tree outside my room. I always saw his vampire face in the window at night. (note I was very young and now I would probably welcome Brad Pitt vampire or not into my room! Ha! If I wasn't married that is!) So I never thought I'd like these Twilight books I thought they'd scare me. (Yes I know that I am a huge dork!) I read the first books and then I got the first movie and I was going to watch it but I got scared (before it even started) and called my sister to ask her if I was going to be scared. Yes she laughed out loud at me and told be no that I should survive, I did.

The second installment of the Twilight series comes out today on DVD.  I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon a little bit late.  In fact I openly made fun of every single person I witnessed swooning over either Jacob or Edward.  I was at the theater to see The Blinde Side when a group of high school girls excitedly asked if I was going to see New Moon to which I very quickly (and maybe kind of rudely) exclamied Um NO!

Well that was then and this is now.  How quickly I was to judge these poor people that I have now become.   I wouldn't say that I am obsessed or anything.  In fact i'm not as into the movies as I am the books.  The first movie was a big dissappointment.  I later found out that it was a low budget film and it showed big time.  I've heard New Moon is much better quality.  We will see.  Don't know if i'll see it today or not.  I'll probably just wait my turn to get it on Netflix.
Moral of the story...don't knock it till you've tried it.

Happy Birthday Patrick!

Today is my older brother's 29th birthday.
His last year to be "20 something".  I'm not sure if there is another decade in which you grow as much as your twenties.  Well I guess you grow alot in your teen years but I think you twenties are actually life changing while you just think your teen years are life changing.  Anyways, we celebrated Patrick's birthday last night with dinner and cake at my parents house.  It was so nice.  John and Elizabeth were there.  I just love hanging out with my family.  Here are the few photos I took.
Patrick and Harper blowing out the candle.
Yes we were out of birthday candles so we use the candles in the crystal candle stick.
(who am I kidding, we never use birthday candles and always use a pillar candle of some sort!)
Sweet Harper (or Parper as Porter calls her!)

Happy Birthday Patrick! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Luck of the Irish...

Ally in her green.  She is always so thrilled when I get the camera out.
This was her trying to ignore me.
again trying to hid her face.  I guess this is kind of mean of me.
Hope everyone had a great St. Patty's Day.

Wednesday Weigh-In

I'm sorry this is so late today.  I think subconsciously I didn't want to write it because this has been a terrible week for me in the weight-loss department.  I have been eating like a pig and doing no sort of physical activity.  I didn't get to go to WW last night because I had a meeting then I went to the viewing for my friend that passed away Sunday.  It was so sad but I did enjoy the time with some of my best friends laughing.  (you are probably thinking that laughing at a viewing isn't very appropriate but Danny was always laughing...I don't think any story or memory I have of him lacks laughter.) Plus, laughter is the best medicine.
Now for the scale...
Down 1lb from last week.  I'm not complaining.
I'm hoping the weather is going to cheer up this weekend.  (I know I shouldn't use the weather as an excuse).  I also need to go grocery shopping so I'm hoping to sit down and make a list this week.  Ido so much better on the program (and in life!) when I have a plan whether I stick to the plan or not.
That's all for now.  I'm sorry again it took so long to get this together today thanks for bearing with me.

Wednesday Weigh-In

Will be up later...I've been out of sorts this week.  Hopefully it'll be up before dark...but I'm not making any promises.  Please bear with me!

Weekend Wrap-up

I had a great weekend.  Saturday I spent the day with my sister who is home for spring break.  We went to Target.  We ended up sitting in the patio furniture reading this book that she bought for my nephew.  The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, it was so funny.  We laughed and laughed.  I want to get a comfy outdoor chair to put on my covered deck to sit in and read in the afternoons.  I've got my eye on one.  Now I just need the cash!!!  Then we went to Panera and had a late lunch.  I love Panera I wish we had one closer.
Sunday was family day. My little brother made it home for spring break so almost the whole gang was at lunch.  (My older brother had to work so did my dad!)  We went to church.  Then had lunch.  We also went to the new Gardendale High School for the open house.  It is so nice.  My photo appears in the new school a total of 2 times.  I was pretty pumped about that. They also added all the cheerleading trophies to the trophy case which sister and I were very proud of.  (Yes I know we are huge dorks!)
I some cute pictures of the babies that I'll share whenever I get them loaded onto my computer. Probably later this week.
Yesterday afternoon when I got home from my parents I got on facebook to see what was happening.   I saw a post from a friend of Patricks talking about his cousin had passed away.  I couldn't believe it.  His cousin and  I were friends in high school and at UA.  I had to call a friend to make sure it was true.  It was Danny was dead.  It has broken my heart.  He was one of the nicest people I've ever known.  He was one of those people that was a friend to everyone he met.  He had a laugh that was contagious.  His whole body laughed when something was funny.
It is so important to live for today cause you are never guarenteed tomorrow.  I hate having to be reminded this.
I had to call my best friend and roommate at UA to tell her and I basicly just blurted it out when she answered.  Then she told me that she was at her aunt and uncles house because her aunt's mom was also found dead yesterday morning.  I felt awful.  It was a pretty lousy afternoon to say the least.
I guess that's all the rambling for one day.  Please keep these families in you prayers this week.  I know it will be a tough one.

Random Week

I've been in a bit of a blogging rut this past week.  Mainly because I haven't had anything really going on that was blog worthy.  I have a couple of cute Ally stories but that is really it.

Last night was "Grey's Night"  it was a smaller crowd but we still had a blast.  We actually didn't even watch Grey's we just talked.  It was at Lorie's house and I wish that I'd taken a picture of her new drapes that her dad gave her as a house warming gift.  They were beautiful.  I loved them so much.  The most excitment of the night happened as Monica was leaving...she calls Lorie and asks..."Did you know you have donkeys in your neighborhood"  Well that peaked the curiosity we got in my car and this is what we found...
Sure enough there were 4 donkeys just hanging out.
I was so funny to us!

One afternoon this week Ally was asleep in my lap and she just started growling and barking...she was sound asleep.  It was so cute.  She finally woke up and was completely confused...I so wish she could talk sometimes.

Patrick had to go to WalMart this week to get the big dog food.   He never can go in and just get dog food so this week he bought the big dogs bones for them to chew on while they were stuck inside because of the rain.  Since he bought them bones he had to get Ally something too.  He bought her this really boyish toy and she loved it.  She woke up this morning and jumped out of the bed to go play with him and the toy.  She also tried to take the toy to work with us.  I really think that she is so excited that her Daddy got it for her.  He was pretty excited about how much she loved it too.  I'll add a photo of her and her new toy later.
* I also had a dream that I was pregnant with a vampie baby.  The thing that bothered me the most was that I had no idea that Patrick was a vampire.  I'm thinking that I shouldn't read the Twilight series before bed anymore!
This is the extent of my excitement for the week.
I forgot that my sister is home for spring break and I'm so excited.  I love having her around.

Wednesday Weigh-In

I am really feeling good these days.  The sun decided to stay for a while this weekend.  The sun seriously warms my soul.  I love it.  So while the sun was out and it was 70 degrees Monday I drug an old quilt out to the back yard and read for over an hour.  The sun started settting and the air started to get cooler so I decided to head inside.  Now, while I throughly enjoyed my time with Edward and Bella reading Breaking Dawn  I should have used the beautiful day to walk or run.  But I didn't and I'm not going to dwell on it.  I didn't count points 5 out of the 7 days this week.  I still watched what I ate I just didn't write it all down and I'm positive I went over but I needed it this week.  This is why the Weight Watchers program is so good.  You can slack off and not follow it as intensely and still see some results.  Granted you will see the most results and make the greatest progress if you are very diligent and follow it very closely.
At WW I weighed is at 148.4lbs for a loss of 1.6lbs.  See what I mean when I follow the program exactly and track every single point I see a larger loss. I'm happy with 1.6lbs this week.
Now for the scale...
Down 1.7lbs from last week.
Which brings my Wednesday Weigh-In total to right at 15lbs.  That excites me to no end.  My WW total loss was 12.8lbs.  (And to clear up any confusion... I started the Wednesday Weigh-In a week before I started WW so I had already lost 4lbs when I started WW.)

Sunday Afternoon Drive

It has been such a wonderful day!  Porter and Ally decided to take the Tracker on a "drive".
{He looks so grown-up with his arm hanging out the window!}

This is the Tracker.  Formerly known as the "Princess" tracker or my first car.  I drove it for 3.5 years and it kept breaking down on my at school so my parents and I got me a new(used) car.  Well when my little brother turned 16 he wanted to drive it.  It was kind of cool, 4-wheel drive and had a rag top.  {I loved it durning the summer.}  After he got his truck this turned into his "ridin" vehicle.  He then painted the "3's" and instead if the Intimidator his says Imitator.  Porter loves trucks and jeeps and anything covered in mud with big tires.
 He wanted to go ridin.
So we let him!

Diana: A Celebration

Today, my best friend Lorie and I decided to take advantage of "Blogger Day" and head out the Atlanta to visit the exhibit on Princess Diana.  It was so much fun.  There were so many interesting facts that I was simply unaware of.  Like for example, did you know that her older sister dated Prince Charles for several years before she did?  ( Okay my parents said they knew too...Lorie and I had no idea!).  I for one am fascinated by famous people.  It was so excited to me to get to see her wedding gown, tiara, veil, shoes, earrings, handbag and other stuff from the Royal Wedding.   I had know idea what year she and the Prince were married.  I knew that I had seen footage on tv but it wasn't until I went today that I realized that they were married 4 years before I was even born  ( I should have realized since her boys are my age I'm just not that observant).  My husband and I were talking about it and he made the comment he remembered watching it on tv.  I said wow that's funny since it was the month before you were born.  We got a good laugh out of that.  We had both just seen footage and thought we were watching it live I guess.  I think the thing that had the most impact on my were the Books of Condolence that were recieved after the Princess' passing.  That display case looked like a small library.  There were hundreds of books from all over the world people signed and sent.  They recieved over 175,000 cards and letters that had to be hand opened because many contained money.  Her memorial fund still supports many charities that she worked with.  It was amazing to see the impact one woman could have on the world.

The exhibit did not allow photography but I was issued these few photos to share with you all.  It's just a small glimpse into the life of the "People's Princess"

The "Style" gallery contained 28 dresses and hats.  I loved getting to see these outfits that I had seen her wear in photos and on tv.

The Royal wedding gown complete with a 25ft train.  It was not the prettiest gown I've ever seen but I guess it suited the Princess!
Finally, I would like to off you this coupon for $3 off the price of an adult ticket.

I am so grateful for this opportunity we had a blast.

When Patrick and I got back from our trip to the mountains last week I decided that I would email the rental company to let them know how pleased we were with the cabin and just to say thank you for offering such affordable rates and nice accomodations. Well the next day I recieved an email from one of the owners saying that they appreciated it. I was impressed that they took the time to reply when they really didn't have to. Then today in the mail I recieved a hand written note thanking us for our kind email and to make sure we let them know who we are next time we're up there. I was impressed ( I realize they just want our repeat business but we were already satisfied). It just goes to show that a kind word can go a long way! So make sure you tell people when you are pleased as well as when you have a problem you know they'll appreciate it!

(We rented from Auntie Belhams's Realty and Nightly Rentals  in case you were wondering.)

Photos, and TV, and Sunshine...Oh MY!

I was so excited today as the FedEx guy approached the door.  You see, I have been in love with this photo that I shot while in Cades Cove since, well I shot it I guess.  ( I do wish i'd shot it a bit differently but for my first try i'm pretty proud!)

So much so that I decided to splurge and spend the $24.95 to have the panoramic printed.  I ordered the 12"x36" size.  I almost wish I would have gotten it a little big bigger.  I'm planning on having it matted and framed (when I can afford it) that is going to be the most expensive part.  I'll show yall when I get it framed.  I was nervous at first that I would hate it.  I am so pleased with how it turned out.   I had to crop it just a bit but I think it looks pretty good for my first big landscape.  I ordered it from    They have great prices.  I'm going to get some prints of my family printed there too.

I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday.  I was very disappoined when I realized it was only Thursday.

On a happy note...the sun decided to grace us with its presence today.  It seems like it has been forever since we've seen reality Sunday I spent most of the afternoon soaking it up!    It's still a bit cool for my liking but the weekend is supposed to be fantastic.  My friend Lorie and I are planning to go to Atlanta to take advantage of "blogger day" for the Diana exhibit at the Atlanta Civic Center.  (Is anyone else going to be there?  It'd be fun to meet up.  It'll be later in the afternoon before we get there maybe we could catch some of you on your way out!)  I'm so looking forward to it.

Thursday is by far the biggest tv night of the week for me.  I'm going to hang out at home this week but I've got Survivor Heros vs Villians up first, then Greys Anatomy, followed by Project Runway, while recording The Real Housewives of Orange County, and finally tonight is the premiere of the new season of The Real Housewives of NYC.  and I got My Sister's Keeper from Netflix today.  I'll probably save it for tomorrow night.

This has been a random week for me.  Random thought to random thought is pretty much how my brain has been functioning all week... Why should my blog be any different!

Wednesday Weigh-In

Yay for Wednesday...only two more days till the weekend.  I've had a pretty good week.  I've tried very hard to eat the right things and count all the points.  That's the hardest part for me, counting the points.  I try to cook alot and it gets stressful to count all the ingredients and points and figure out the amount of servings and the serving size.  I'm getting better and one good thing is that I tend to cook the same 5-10 recipies over and over so once I've figured out the points I just write down so I have it the next time.  I went to WW and weighed in but I didn't stay for the meeting.  I've been sorta stressed out nothing big just a few little things that are picking at me, I'm mostly just mad at myself.
Anyways on to the scale...

Down 1.2lbs from last week.  At WW I weighed in at 150lbs for a weeks loss of 2.4lbs.  (I know that this is probably confusing but I likw to keep up with both. Since my scale doesn't show the same number as the WW scale)
This brings my Wednesday Weigh-In total loss to 14lbs on the blog and  my Weight Watchers total loss to 11.3lbs!!!
I'm really excited.  I feel so much better.  I know I've said this every week but I've got to start moving.  I really want to start running again.  My clothes are fitting better (still not as good as they once did but we're making progress)  I've really started adding lots of fruits to me diet.  I'm still working on the veggies...they just aren't as good to me so it's more difficult for me to add them.
I guess that's all for this week.  I'm going to try out a recipie I got from WW.  You add 12oz of diet soda to a cake mix and bake it.  You use Fat Free Whipped Topping for the icing.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

Who Do you Love...

I Seriously Hate this show.

Seriously, Tenley is the most gracious person I know.  (Okay I know that I don't actually "know" her).  I love her.  I want my daughters to be like her and my sons to marry someone just like her.  She is still smiling even though she's in tears and just had her heart broken into a million pieces.  I hate it when the nice girl finishes last.  It is hard to watch when you have a man that claims to have such high morals and values (judging by his family, he was raised with high morals and values) choose the girl that seems to have very little morals or values.  I can't stand Vienna.  I  just want to barf when I see her.  I lost a lot of respect for Jake tonight.  Even though I knew the entire time that he was going to pick her.  I get sucked in every single time.  I'm always so mad.  I  can't believe I get so emotionally invested in this crap!  I wonder what would have happened if Allie had stuck around.  I didn't really like Jakes interaction with Tenley on the "After the Final Rose".  It was like he still wanted to claim her.  I know he meant it in a caring way but I didn't like the way he came across!  I really need to get a life!

Did I hear that correctly...Kate Gosselin and Jake on Dancing with the Stars?  I guess this is all for the I right Kate?  She makes my skin crawl.  I used to really like her.  Now I just feel sorry for her children.  And Jake,  I mean I think it would be cute if you were on DWTS if you'd picked Tenley and all her dancing glory but you didn't you chose Vienna, roots and all.  I think it is sad and it shows how happy you and Tenley could have been together.  *tear*.   But I guess you chose the right girl for you.  I just didn't see it coming.

And the next Bachelorette is...  Ali
Okay I totally saw this one coming but I am still so excited!  I love Allie to death.  I think she is going to make an awesome Bachelorette!  Yay for Allie.

Okay that's enough tv ranting for one day!  I'm slightly embarassed by my obession with reality tv.  Yall won't judge me...right?

Just Livin Life...

This weekend was very low key.  I didn't do anything really blog worthy.  I had a huge to do list of rooms I needed to clean and organize.  I didn't get any of them done really.  I did get all our photos from our trip printed and put into an album.  I was pretty excited about that.  I also printed a few more photos for some empty frames we've had laying around the house since...oh I don't know...OUR WEDDING!  Almost 2 years ago.  ( I can't believe it's almost our 2nd anniversary.  Wow time flies!)  So I did do some productive things but not nearly enough.  I've still got a ton of cleaning to do!  I hate to clean and my house reflects that!  I would really like to get some things put on the walls in our house.  We have about 5 things hanging on the walls.  I would like to change that.  We have tons of things sitting on the floor by the wall we think they should go on.  We just have to get them up!
Sunday I went to church.  We took my sweet nephew Porter.  We were sitting in church and my mom tryed to get him to blow his nose.  He was having none of it.  He finally took the tissue and stuck it up to my face and said "blow".  It was so funny.  I couldn't stop laughing.  Then he said "stop laughing...and Blow!"  I tried as best as I could to "blow" my nose on the tissue.  He then took the tissue and put it in his pocket.  It was the sweetest and cutest thing.  We have been laughing about it all day.
Some sad things have happened.  A boy my little brother graduated from high school with and played football with passed away today.  He was in an accident about a month ago around a campfire.  From what I understand the gas can he was holding blew up and he basicly caught on fire.  He's been in the hospital for weeks.  His parents had to take him off life support.  I can't imagine having to take you child off life support.  I have had a heavy heart all day long for this young boy and his family and friends.  So if you have a moment say a prayer for this family.
On a random seems like everyone around me either has a child, is expecting a child, or trying to have a child.  It makes me want one but I know we are not ready.  I'm lucky enough to have neices and nephews to hug on when theres a hint of baby fever.   Patrick and I are so enjoying being married and we don't get enough time to spend together as it is.  Our work schedules don't allow us to really socialize with our couple friends so it's hard.  We'll know when we're ready and God's timing is always perfect!
Wow I've written way to much to not have anything to say.
Today when I got home from work I had a sweet surprise. Drew, Ava, and Porter were here playing in the back yard.  They were having a blast.  It was so good to get to play with them.  Porter stepped in dog poop them tracked in all over my carpet but he's just so dang cute you can't be mad at him.   I snapped a few pictures of them.  I just realized it's been a while since I've shot them.  They are my favorite subjects.

Sorry for the long ramblings...hope I didn't bore you to tears.  Check back later I'm sure I'll have a few words about the Bachelor Finale especially if it goes the way I think it's going to go!
