I miss blogging like I used to blog. I'm going to try to get back to writing about our everyday life again. I'm afraid I've missed documenting a lot that I'll wish I had written down. But for now these weekly updates are better than nothing.
Day 259: I posted this picture of my sister and me after we beat Arkansas. We were so young. I should take better care of my skin.
Day 260: I took Barrett to the Homecoming parade. It was kind of surreal being there with my kid. I remember it being such a big deal when I was in school. It doesn't seem to be a big deal to these kids. I feel like it was much better when I was in school. Of course that could just be in my head.
Day 261: We met at Brittany's house again for some bike riding fun Saturday. These kiddos had a sweaty ball.
Day 262: This was my favorite part of this day. Sunday was tough. Barrett was in a mood all day and I almost just left him at church he was so bad. I ended up spanking him three different times and it didn't help. So he didn't get to go to my parents house and ride his bike. I hate using that as a punishment but he was way more upset about that than any spanking.
Day 264: I missed day 263. This boy is loving his bike!
Day 265: I finally got my pumpkins and fall stuff out. I'm loving all the festive décor and scents. I need to get some new candles too! I love this time of year!
Day 252: I've been looking for one of these Tupperware pickle holders for years. My parents have one and I love it. They discontinued it for a while but they brought it back and I got one at Girl Time. I was so excited and I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm a little crazy. Which might also be true.
Day 253: We found out this sweet baby is a GIRL!!! We are still a little in shock. That hasn't stopped me from buying a few things. I can't wait to meet her. She is already so loved.
Day 254: We went to Brittany's to watch the Alabama game. The boys brought their bikes and rode during halftime. I love this picture Crystal took. My parents have the best area to ride!
Day 255: My boys snuggled up Sunday morning. They were so sweet I couldn't stand to wake them. Barrett has been ending up in our bed some mornings so we can all get a little more sleep. I think Patrick and I both secretly love it.
Day 256: We were working on a big order at work that required me to be in the shop some and Barrett was so good. He would ride his bike around and then come in and take a break. He never took his helmet off or his sweatshirt and it warmed up a lot.
Day 257: You've already seen this picture. But it was all I had for Tuesday.
Day 258: This was a video but I don't know how to add videos so here's a still shot. While taking a break at the office they made a make shift "the blob" and Barrett thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Day 245: The kickoff to college football. Barrett and I watched some of the games that were on and then it was time for bed so we went and watched Toy Story for a little while. This boy is definitely mine, he appreciates the finer things in life like watching a movie in bed.
Day 246: We were trying to decide what we were going to eat for dinner and Patrick started taking selfies of him and Barrett, then he grabbed Ally and added her to the mix. I laughed so hard because he tries to act like he doesn't like Ally.
Day 247: We enjoyed a day of college football. I worked that morning and came home in time to take a nap during the Auburn game. For the Alabama game Barrett and I were going over to Matt's house to watch it with our crew. At the last minute Patrick decided to go with us and it made us both so happy.
Day 248: Barrett wore a bubble for probably (for real this time) the last time. It makes me sad. He sure does look cute though. I might sneak in some long ones for the fall and winter this year. I have a feeling we'll start trying to tackle potty training soon so it's time.
Day 249: Ally came to the office with me. She hasn't been to work in a long time but she wanted to go and I wasn't taking Barrett so she got to go. She sat right at my feet the whole day. It was really sweet.
Day 250: I saw this rainbow on the way home and it made me so happy.
Day 251: I spent the night helping Brittany get ready for this event. It was a lot of fun.
Day 238: The weather was beautiful last week. Barrett played outside as much as he could.
Day 239: We had book club so Patrick and Jeremy took the boys to Chuck E Cheese. They said the boys had fun.
Day 240: The boys slept in so Ally and I made a run for coffee and breakfast.
Day 241: My house has been a disaster for weeks. My dad came to watch Barrett on Wednesday and I was afraid he was going to stage an intervention. We finally got things put back together this weekend. It has been so nice to come home to a fairly put together house.
Day 242: 14 weeks! I'm a lot bigger this time around. I'm trying to embrace it. It's not easy. I'm ready for Fall weather so I can wear scarves and sweaters and vests.
Day 243: He will sit in the window and play with his cars at work for a long time. I love to just watch him. I's so sweet.
Day 244: I got both Barrett and his Daddy a cookie for after dinner. This little stinker got both cookies and ate them both.
Week 34 has come and gone...lets see what we were up to.
Day 231: Barrett is really in to Mr. Potato Head these days. I love it.
Day 232: We had a quiet night at home celebrating Patrick's 34th birthday. Barrett always asks for a balloon at the store and I always say no. So I surprised them with one for Patrick's birthday.
Day 233: Barrett and I went to watch Harper cheer and Porter play football. We've been watching preseason NFL and replays of college games from last year and he's been really into the games. He could not take his eyes off the cheerleaders while they were practicing. It was so funny.
Day 234: This boy loves his bike.
Day 235: A little sample of what we've been working n lately at the office.
Day 236: It was so pretty so I moved my office outside and Barrett thought it was the greatest thing ever. Only bad thing is now he thinks we should be outside all day everyday.
Day 237: We celebrated our only dog left for National Dog Day.
Day 224: We had a little park time after work. There was a small breeze and it made me hopeful for Fall. It's just right around the corner and I can't wait.
Day 225: I've been praying this would get to be a picture this year. I've been holding on to this shirt since our loss in February hoping he'd get to wear it before he outgrew it. We had out 12 week appointment this day and we were so excited to announce.
Day 226: This couldn't have come at a better time. Patrick finally got me a spot cleaned out in the garage so I can park in there. I was so excited. And it's rained every day this week so it was perfect timing.
Day 227: Sweet boy passed out after church and lunch. I tried to take his outfit off of him but he insisted he keep it on. I just laughed.
Day 228: They rocked each other to sleep. I love these sweet boys so much. This picture just melts me.
Day 229 & Day 230: We've been drowning in Yeti cups this week. We finally finished our big order that has had me working long hours this week. Now on to the next orders. I'm so thankful for a growing business. It's crazy how much we've grown in the last year.
We're so ready for Fall! Looking forward to a few more weeks of summer fun and then bring on the scarves, boots, sweaters and pumpkins.
It's week 32! Barrett has had a ball from playing with friends to playing with cousins and missing the first day of school.
Day 217: It was the first day of public school so BB took Barrett to the splash pad with his buddies. They had the place to themselves and had a blast. This picture is so cute.
Day 218: RIP my 1.5" curling iron. I pulled the cord to unwrap it and plug it in and the whole thing fell apart. I guess I'll be making a purchase sometime soon.
Day 219: My cousin hosted a retirement party for my aunt at his house and we had the best time hanging out with family. One perk to a big family is there is almost always a big kid willing to entertain the little kids. Barrett had a blast.
Day 220: Barrett was being extra snuggly Sunday night. We later realized he was running a fever. We had a busy week planned and I immediately started to panic that everything wouldn't get done. So far its all working out.
Day 221: The first day of MDO this Fall and Barrett had to miss because he was sick. (He missed last year too because he was sick.) He had a little virus. I took him to the doctor because he kept saying his ears hurt but they were clear.
Day 222: He had gotten to where he wants one of us to sit in his room until he falls asleep. I'll be honest at first it kind of irritated me because I felt like I had a million things I needed to be doing while he went to sleep but lately I'm trying to embrace it. He is definitely looking like a big boy now but when he sleeps I can still see that little baby.
Day 223: We've been so busy at work. It's crazy how much our business has grown in the last year with minimal effort in advertising on our part. It's all been word of mouth which is amazing. We've loved meeting new people and working with new products. This day we were hard at work while Barrett was taking pictures. Some days it's whatever will entertain him.
