Saturday in TTown

As most of you know, Alabama football kicked off yesterday.  I was so excited.  I woke up bright and early around 5:15, I had my alarm set for 6:00 but knew there was no going back to sleep.  It was like Christmas morning.  (Some how I was still late to my parents)!  We quickly got the car packed and hit the road.  We were about 20 minutes outside of Tuscaloosa and I almost had a panic attack because I didn't get the tickets.  Thank goodness my parents had gotten them.  We enjoyed the assortment of breakfast casseroles and mimosas.  Soon enough it was time to head to the stadium.

Sister, me and baby brother.  Love these kids!
Aunt Pam and Ally.  Mom took her picture and said if you're holding Ally you've got a higher chance to make the blog.

Ava Jane and Porter.

Season Ticket ceremony.

Walking to the stadium.  I realized about 3 blocks later that I'd forgotten our tickets so Ava and I had to walk almost all the way back to meet my mom.  Ava was not happy with me.  We missed the first 2 touchdowns but at least we made it!

I loved the ending to halftime.  The Million Dollar Band played "My home's in Alabama" and spelled Tuscaloosa.  It was really special and emotional.

Me and Ava in our seats!

Afte we saw Dad and Porter on the jumbotron Ava wanted to go sit with them.  Not long after she got down there she was on.

Tell me he's not adorable.

I love this girl.  She's one of Amy's friends and we had a blast together. (I didn't realize this dress was so unflattering. Note to self: Do not wear again until you lose 15lbs)

AMY!  love her too!  Can't wait to see yall again!

It was a great day!  I hate the early games but it was nice to be home at a decent time.  I'm excited for the rest of the season!  It should be a fun one!

Back to School Family Night

Friday, Mom wanted to get everyone together for a "Back to School" family night.  John was home and Elizabeth was too.  So most of us gathered for dinner.  Mom made some sort of pasta dish and it was delicious.  We had carrot cake for dessert.  I love carrot cake.
Harper had to take a little cat nap so she'd have energy for the rest of the evening.

This is my thinking pose.
We were playing UNO and I was probably thinking how sad it was to get beat by a three year old.

Yes, Porter beat us not once but twice.  He was very proud of himself.

I know all you see is blurry head but I love it.  He couldn't believe I beat him.

He was so excited.  Not sure why.
Not as excited to have his picture made with me.

He loves Ally Bama.

Splash Park

Today Mom and I took Drew, Ava, Porter and Harper to the Splash Park.  It was a nice day.  Not to hot or sunny and the kids had a ball.  I got some cute pictures of the four of them.

Porter's 4th Birthday

On April 30th we celebrated Porter's 4th Birthday with cake and a moon bounce. Porter has never been one to thrive in the spotlight.  He'd much rather sit back and let someone else soak up the attention.  Last year he cried when we sang.  This year when we got the cake ready we had to go find him.  He'd run off and gotten in his sister's bed.  It was pretty sweet.

He struggled with that 4th candle.

This picture makes me smile.  When we put them the right feet it never fails that he falls down.

Since Elizabeth missed the 30th Birthday Big Wheel Rally she decided to give it a whirl at the 4th birthday celebration.

Final shot of the moon bounce.  We had a ball jumping with all the kiddos.  They had a blast!
Happy 4th Birthday Sweet Porter!

Last night I got together with Patrick's aunts and cousins to celebrate my SIL Allison's birthday.  We had a blast.  Vikki made a huge pot of chili and potato soup with all the fix ins.  It was wonderful!  I enjoy getting together with these women so much.  I always manage to laugh a lot.  Aunt Melanie brought these beautiful cupcakes from Gigi's in Madison.  They were to die for.  Absolutely wonderful!

Allison with her birthday cupcake.  She chose the wedding cake one.
I was supposed to go watch Miss America with my daddy.  But I never made it over there.  I really didn't even watch the pageant.
Today I went to church then to my parents for lunch.  My sister was home from school and my baby brother was home from Muscle Shoals for the weekend so we had a nice lunch together.  (MY older brother had to work so he didn't get to make it)  After lunch we all played wii.  I love wii.
Porter with Bentley.  They are both so cute!  (Bentley is my brother's girlfriend's dog!)

After lunch I went to do a little Maternity shoot with a friend of mine who is 32 weeks pregnant and looks fabulous!

A little sneak peak from the shoot today.  I love this shot!  It might be one of my favorites shots ever!

That was our weekend in a nutshell!  We were supposed to go grocery shopping but we never made it.  Maybe tomorrow.

A few photos from the 4th

Just a few teasers from the weekend.  These are my favorite!

Porter started a water gun fight against Drew, Ava, and Benjamin.
This was after they got him in the face.
The sweetest face!

Watching the lake with Gary.
So sweet!

An Afternoon Drive

Porter loves to ride in the Tracker.  A few weeks ago John drove him to church in it.  Porter could not have been more thrilled!  It is amazing how Porter can recognize cars.  He can see a trailblazer on the road and he'll say "That's like Mommy's car."  He can spot John's truck from miles away.  The kid loves trucks and cars.

Drew got to ride home with them.  Porter loves his big brother and Drew is an awesome big brother!

Porter's 3rd Birthday Party

Today Patrick and I hosted Porter's 3rd birthday party at our home.  It was racecar themed and everything was perfect.  He is such a sweet child.  He always wants to help.  I was putting Harper's hair up in pig tails (after she'd taken them down once) and he walked up to her and said "Looks cute Parper!).  How sweet is that.
He wanted to ride in Gary's car (for some reason he's started calling my dad Gary!)
All four of the kiddos.  They are so cute and sweet!
Porter and his root beer.
The awesome racecar cake that Nana made.
He gets embarassed when he's the center of attention.  He started crying when we sang to him.  It was so sweet.  He was pretty excited when it came time to blow out the candles.
Me and the birthday boy. I can't believe he's already 3 years old.

Sunday Afternoon Drive

It has been such a wonderful day!  Porter and Ally decided to take the Tracker on a "drive".
{He looks so grown-up with his arm hanging out the window!}

This is the Tracker.  Formerly known as the "Princess" tracker or my first car.  I drove it for 3.5 years and it kept breaking down on my at school so my parents and I got me a new(used) car.  Well when my little brother turned 16 he wanted to drive it.  It was kind of cool, 4-wheel drive and had a rag top.  {I loved it durning the summer.}  After he got his truck this turned into his "ridin" vehicle.  He then painted the "3's" and instead if the Intimidator his says Imitator.  Porter loves trucks and jeeps and anything covered in mud with big tires.
 He wanted to go ridin.
So we let him!
