The One Where They Go To DISNEY WORLD- MAGIC KINDGOM- Day 1

For months we'd been planning a fun surprise for our kids!  We finally revealed it on Christmas morning and the countdown was on.
On Sunday, January 19th we packed the car and headed out at 5:00am.  We decided to drive it straight through this time instead of staying the night somewhere halfway.  The kids were so sweet and watched movies on the ipad until the sun came up, they then entertained themselves most of the trip.  We only had to stop 3 times on the way down and they slept some of the trip too.  We couldn't have asked for a better ride down.

We were so excited to get checked in and settled.  We were in the 70's section and this giant Big Wheel was right outside our room!

The weather was perfect that night.  We were in short sleeves and it was so nice.  We grabbed burgers at D-LUXE burgers and they did not disappoint.  I took full advantage of the alcohol on the dinning plan and had a smoked bourbon gelato shake.  It was delicious.

We called it an early night so we could head to the Magic Kingdom bright and early for rope drop.  We woke up and quickly realized the warm weather was gone and we needed to bundle up.
We walked in and when I turned the corner on Main Street and saw the castle I was positively giddy!  I felt like a little kid!
We grabbed a quick picture with the photopass photographer and I loved how it turned out so much!

We rode Peter Pan's flight first, we'd never done the standby queue and it was so cute with tink!  Then we headed over to It's a Small World.  It was closed the last time we were there so we wanted to make sure we got to it this trip.

From there we headed to Big Thunder Mountain to use our first fast pass.  Patrick didn't want to ride, so I rode it with John.

It was my first time on this ride too.  We laughed because it seemed like the ride stopped a couple of times in places it shouldn't have but nothing major.  Well, while Jeremy and Jessica were riding it I was looking at the app and it said the ride was closed so I was afraid they were stuck on it, thankfully they weren't.
We used our fast pass for Buzz Lightyear, this is one of the boys favorite rides, I'm not sure what the final count for the number of times they rode it.

After the ride we decided to divide a bit, Patrick and Barrett stayed with the Moores to meet Buzz and AveryAnn and I went with the Maxwells to see Ariel.

It was so cold she was wearing a sweater.

The park was pretty crowded this day because it was MLK day, I don't feel like we had a very solid plan so we spent more time waiting than I would have liked but it all worked out. AveryAnn was so excited about Dumbo.  It was so sweet!

After Dumbo it was time for our reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table.  I was so excited about this meal.  It's in the castle with all the princesses.  AveryAnn was in heaven and Barrett was a pretty good sport about it all.
First we met Cinderella!

AveryAnn was speechless.  She just stared at her.

Then we went up to the dining room and met Snow White!

Auora

Ariel

And Jasmine!
I loved this meal but I don't think it's something I will have to do every trip!

After lunch we used our fast pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  I begged Barrett to ride with me.

He didn't love it! Haha!

But I was so proud of him for riding it!

We did a few more rides, I can't remember which ones though.  I know we did People Mover, but not sure what else.  (I shouldn't have waited a month to do these recaps).
We called it a day around 6:00 that day I think.  The kids were done!

I love these pictures of us in front of the castle!  It was so special to get to go with my little brother and his family!  I hope my niece remembers this vacation forever.
We had pizza from the food court at the resort and called it a night.
