It's the most Wonderful time of the year!

Well I got most of my decorations up at the house this weekend.  I don't really put up alot of stuff, mainly because I don't have a lot and I don't really want to spend a ton of money on decorations.  Last year I got a lot of stuff after Christmas on sale so I'll probably do the same thing this year.

On the mantle I use green garland with white lights, in the center is our Nativity, to the right is a vase that I use year round I just change out the flowers for the season, on the left are my candle pillars that I use year round, and  finally our stockings.  We have a kind of small living room and the furniture we picked out is huge so it is very hard to fit everything in the room.  It looks very cramped if you ask me!

A close-up of the Nativity.

This is our tree.  It's kind of small but it works for us because we don't have alot of ornaments.  I'm not a fan of just buying a bunch of ornaments so you have something on the tree.  Every year since we were born my Mom has given us an ornament.  When I got married she gave me all of my ornaments for my tree.  It's kind of funny because I always got a Barbie ornament so most of our tree is Barbies!  (I'll have to post a picture of my mom's tree.  She has the most beautiful tree I think.  She puts everything on it even the crappy ornaments that we made in school.  It's really more of a tree of memories than anything else!)
( I think I may have over used the word ornament in that paragraph. Sorry, I don't know another word for it!)

We even have a tree divided!  I got the hubby the Auburn ball since I had the Bama ball and he didn't have any ornaments really.  (My mom started buying him an ornament every year since we got married so he's catching up!)

I also put some Christmas dishes out but haven't really finished with a centerpiece yet so I'll post when I get that done.  I'm in the process of painting some frames to put out some holiday photos.
The ole blog also got into the holiday spirit for the season.
*Note: I do not use the phrase "Happy Holidays" to be politcally correct. I use it because I like alliterations and I think "Happy Holiday's from the Horton's" sounds cute!

We haven't really decorated outside yet.  It makes me feel like a slacker but the husband hasn't really had time.  I put a cute wreath on the door that my mom made for me last year.  I want to add an "H" to the center but I have to get one.  I also got a couple of those 4ft trees in the urns with lights and put one on my porch and on in the entry way.

How has yall's decorating been coming?
