Wednesday Weigh-In

It's Wednesday again and time for my weekly weigh-in.  I actually bought a scale this weekend so I can officially weigh-in!  I have not been able to completely cut soft-drinks.  Baby steps!  I have cut down to one a day when I was having 2-3 per day.  I have also been drinking 20-40 ounces of water per day which is tough for me because I don't really enjoy it!   I have been counting calories and trying to limit sugar.  I saw on the Today show that sugar converts straight to belly fat!  I love candy. Like sometimes I'll just have some skittles instead of a meal.  I know it's ridiculous. I'm thinking I should probably grow out of it before I have kids cause that probably isn't the best example to set for youngsters!
Anyway here goes my "Official" starting weight {que dramatic music}
I can't believe I'm going to share this with you people!

That's it.  162.6lbs I was 135 when I graduated from Alabama and got married. 27lbs that've gained in almost 2 years.  I am working to get back to that!
I need meal suggestions.  I fyou have any please share!

Can I tell you a couple of things that helped me and added some healthy benefits.

1. add as much fiber foods in your diet that you can stand. the goal would be to eat around 30 grams of fiber a day. you will find that you enjoy these foods and will be full after eating a high fiber diet. by adding the fiber you are helping your digestive system/colon and fiber is like borrowed food since it grabs the fatty foods to flush them right out. fiber helps the other foods to move efficiently and to clean you out naturally. count your fiber grams for a little while instead of calories.

2. I began to use a smaller dish to eat out of. I realized if I had a smaller dish I could still put plenty on it and be very full. It helps to keep the proper portions too and guess what - you are plenty full if you eat everything on that saucer.

The changes you make should be lifelong changes that will stick. It takes work to change your eating lifestyle but these small changes will help.

I had always had a weight problem but I have kept the weight off and now I fluctuate 150-160. I am also 54 so that makes a big difference right now but I feel good.

I go on an off weight watchers all the time. It's the BEST. Once you start counting points its so easy to see where you're overeating.

PS- Glad your sis had fun in LA! Yay for Bama!

You are such a brave soul! I would never post my weight! If it makes you feel any better, I would love to weigh 162.6 anyday!!!! I'm really trying too so let me know any good recipes you get!

I did go to Sam's and buy a huge thing of chicken breast. I think they are actually chicken tenders. Before I froze them, I put them in individual ziploc bags with a couple of tenders in each bag. I usually do 4 so there's enough for Autumn too or for lunch the next day. My favorite meal right now is to mix olive oil, lemon, and Zoe's seasoning and pour it over the chicken then bake it for like 25 mins or so. It's soooo good!!!! Then do rice and put the same ingredients in the rice!
