Sometimes a bridesmaid

My cousin and his fiance asked me to be in their wedding.  I was so excited!  They gave me a fortune cookie with this cute little fortune in it and a really sweet note.
I can't wait for their big day in April!

Bama vs North Texas

Saturday we slept in and hit the road around 11:00 headed to Tuscaloosa.  The crowds were already beginning to gather and football was in the air.  We celebrated Babo's birthday again with cake and candles.

Tony and Carla scored tickets last minute and joined us for the fun.  I think Bentley and Ally liked Carla.

Day 260
Me and the Baby.

I was a serious slacker with the camera this week.

**I'm probably going to be MIA on the blog for a little while.  I'm struggling with what/how much to share and with the idea of making my blog private or not.  Thanks for baring with me! :) **

Angel Baby

I got to go see sweet baby Elise this afternoon.  I hadn't seen her since Sunday night and I was going through serious withdrawals :).  She is the sweetest thing.  I loved getting to feed her and just hold her tiny little self.  It's hard to believe that this time last week I had just received the call that she would be making her grand arrival the next morning!

Happy Birthday Babo!

Tonight, we celebrated Babo's 70th birthday at the "Old House".  It was a nice night catching up with the fam.  I sent this picture to my little brother and sister kidding them that Babo wanted to celebrate with her favorite niece and nephews!  I can't believe Babo is 70 years old.  She is so young at heart.  I know I've said it before but I want to be just like her when I grow up.  She is one of the most kind, generous and caring people I know.
Happy Birthday Babo! I hope it was the best one yet!

Move your feet

We started another round of bootcamp tonight.  I took this picture of the sky while I was running my mile.  I really want to be a fast runner but I just don't see it in my future.  I guess I'm to busy taking in the sights!

Vinyl Work

This is the latest project I've been working on. I wanted to do something special for Elise.  Lorie suggested using the design on the bedding and it was perfect!  I loved how it turned out!  It's absolutely beautiful!

We'll Never Forget

Patrick and I have have been glued to the coverage for days now.  It's so hard to believe that it has been 10 years.  I'll never forget where I was or what I was doing.  A lot has changed in my life in the last decade.  If anything it makes the events of that day more important.  As a wife I can't imagine my husband not coming home from work.  I will continue to remember these families and pray for them often.  I will continue to support my country and the war on terror.

I saw this super cute "house divided" chandelier at the hospital gift shop! It was painted red, white, orange and blue! It would be perfect in our den!

It's Time!!!

I got the call Thursday night that Lorie was at the hospital and would be induced Friday morning!  I was beyond excited!  I quickly started calling everyone I know.  The only one to answer was Patrick!  Kristen and I went to visit for a bit!  It was so much fun!

Cool Air has me giddy!

The air has been so cool today.  I've been loving it.  I thought i'd share the few Fall things I put out on Monday.  I wish you could smell my living room.  The pumpkin spice candle really makes everything feel like fall.
I added some fallish flowers to the vase on the mantle.  The curtains in this room are very warm colors and make the room feel more like fall anyway.

I needed new candles but I decicded at least for now I'd see how I liked the little pumpkins.  I like them.

I added a couple little pumpkins to this dish on the coffee table.  When I first put the other stuff in the dish Patrick asked me if I'd just gotten some crap out of the yard.  Men.

Halloween bowl filled with candy waiting on cute little trick-or-treaters.  I'm sure I'll have to fill the bowl again before Halloween.  My scarecrows will go on the porch when it stops raining.

This is a ledge going downstairs.  I love those two little pumpkins.  I've had them for a couple years but struggled finding a place for them.  I thought they looked good here.

Day 247
The whole living room.
It's very subtle but that's how I like it!

Happy Fall Y'all

It's fall at the Horton House.  Since it's been a dreary day in our neck of the woods I decided to use my day off and drag out all the Fall decorations.  It's so warm an cozy, I love it!

Saturday in TTown

As most of you know, Alabama football kicked off yesterday.  I was so excited.  I woke up bright and early around 5:15, I had my alarm set for 6:00 but knew there was no going back to sleep.  It was like Christmas morning.  (Some how I was still late to my parents)!  We quickly got the car packed and hit the road.  We were about 20 minutes outside of Tuscaloosa and I almost had a panic attack because I didn't get the tickets.  Thank goodness my parents had gotten them.  We enjoyed the assortment of breakfast casseroles and mimosas.  Soon enough it was time to head to the stadium.

Sister, me and baby brother.  Love these kids!
Aunt Pam and Ally.  Mom took her picture and said if you're holding Ally you've got a higher chance to make the blog.

Ava Jane and Porter.

Season Ticket ceremony.

Walking to the stadium.  I realized about 3 blocks later that I'd forgotten our tickets so Ava and I had to walk almost all the way back to meet my mom.  Ava was not happy with me.  We missed the first 2 touchdowns but at least we made it!

I loved the ending to halftime.  The Million Dollar Band played "My home's in Alabama" and spelled Tuscaloosa.  It was really special and emotional.

Me and Ava in our seats!

Afte we saw Dad and Porter on the jumbotron Ava wanted to go sit with them.  Not long after she got down there she was on.

Tell me he's not adorable.

I love this girl.  She's one of Amy's friends and we had a blast together. (I didn't realize this dress was so unflattering. Note to self: Do not wear again until you lose 15lbs)

AMY!  love her too!  Can't wait to see yall again!

It was a great day!  I hate the early games but it was nice to be home at a decent time.  I'm excited for the rest of the season!  It should be a fun one!
