Weekend Review

This weekend was filled with some summer fun! Friday night Ally and I picked up Drew, Ava and Porter and we headed to the Gardendale Civic Center for the outdoor Moovie! We watched Charlotte's Web! I love that movie and the new one is pretty good! Luckily my Mom, Dad and Sister were meeting me there to help. Drew and Ava are no problem but Porter, now that's another story! He's always wanting to be on the go! All in all is was a nice night out! We couldn't have asked for better weather! It was perfect!

Saturday my sister and I woke up to watch Breakfast in Bed on Soap Net! We always watch Beverly Hills 90210! We went to the grocery store then she drug me to Target and Books-A-Million. I hate shopping with her! She never knows what she wants to buy and she can't ever make a decision!

Sunday I went to church then to my parents for lunch! We watched the race! We all have our favorite drivers and we tease each other, especially mom because she is so gullible. She gets so mad at us but it is fun! I also finally moved some of the boxes that have been sitting at my mom and dad's for almost 2 years. They were the boxes of my pictures that were in my old room at school. My high school yearbooks and scrapbooks! I enjoyed looking back through them. Patrick liked looking at them too! All in all it was a pretty good weekend!

"Some say Love.....

I really like Jillian! But she can see that there are some guys telling her what she wants to hear! I mean who wouldn't love being sung to Romeo and Juliet style. But really does he only know the one song? I get that you are writing it for her but seriously we are getting tired of hearing it! Then on to Juan so anyone else see a very gay side to him? I don't understand why he is still around because she seems to want a manly man! I don't think I'm alone in thinking that Juan is definitely not a manly man! I don't see him changing a tire on her car.

Now to my front runners! I love Jake the Pilot! He seems so real and down to earth. I think he'll be one of the final two!and Kiptyn... he was kind of quite until last night and I think she likes him a lot! Plus his name is really cute too! I will have to add it to my secret baby name book!

What is the deal with the foot guy! I mean seriously! Am I wrong am I the only one that finds him annoying?

Rainy Day...Weekend

Well we made the usual Memorial day lake trip. My family goes to the lake to be outside at the lake. We do not air conditioning or cable. This is rarely a problem. This weekend it rained the entire time we were there! Ava got to swim for about 30 minutes Sunday afternoon. I did get a few pictures from the weekend!

TV Review

Okay now for TV this week! I have several shows I watch religiously! (My husband works nights I've got nothing better to do!) In order of how they appear in my weekly line-up!

For my faves this week is Season Finale week so I won't have anything to watch come next week!

I'll start with Grey's Anatomy since the season finale was last week! I am very disappointed with this show lately but I can't seem to let it go! I am pretty sure that Izzie and George are dead which will make for an interesting season next fall but I'm not sure if I'll like it!

Next is Survivor: Tocantins! Now I watched to very first season of surivivor and have not watched it since until this season! I was hooked! I was so excited that JT won. He seemed to be the most honest and level headed of the bunch not to mention he is from Alabama! So I was happy with that finale!

This is my first season to watch Desperate Housewives so I am still getting into it!

One Tree Hill should have ended the series with the finale last night because everyone ended up together and doing everything that they love! Not sure what next season will hold because there were no cliff hangers!

90210 finale is tonight!

Dancing with the Stars! I haven't watched this show in the past but I started watching it this season because I love Melissa! I watched her on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team and on the Bachelor! However I think that Gilles will win! He is a very impressive dancer and I think that Cherly might be the best coreagrapher and teacher! We find out who take home the mirror ball trophy tonight!

American Idol! From the start of the season I have liked Kris Allen! I really hope he wins but I am doubtful! Adam Lambert doesn't have a recording voice to me! I don't like him but I also don't think he will sell a lot of records if he wins! Tonight is the performance we wont find out the results till tomorrow. I don't know if I can wait that long!

The Bachelorette started a new season last night! Jake the pilot is my early favorite! It's still to early to tell!

Sisters beach trip!

Last Wednesday my sister and I hit the road for a little r & r! We went to Panama City Beach for a few days! The weather was beautiful, the water was clear and warm, and there were really no crowds! I guess we beat the end of school rush! These are just a few photos from the trip! We got lost on the way down there which was pretty funny to us since we have been to the same place every spring since we can remember!

Now Patrick and I are puppy sitting for his brothers family while they are at the beach! We are keeping their toy poodle that is about 16 weeks old! It has been fun having a puppy around again! She and Ally have played a lot! I think they are going to miss each other when she goes Bella goes back home on Friday! That's all for now!

This time tomorrow I will be well on my way to Panama City Beach, FL with my little sister for 3 days of relaxation. I can not wait. I haven't been to the beach in about a year and I couldn't be more excited! My sister and I always have fun together! Yay!

Sweet Summertime!

This week all I have thought about was summer time! The air smells of summer and the end of school. I miss that feeling of accomplishment on the last day of school when you walk through the doors knowing you've completed yet another year. I love to ride in the car with the windows down and the radio up! When I think of summer I also think of the lake. When I was younger we tried to spend every weekend at the family lake cabin. This summer hopefully Patrick and I will get to spend a few Sunday afternoons up there! (His schedule at work just changed and now he is off on Sunday and Monday instead of Tuesday and Wednesday) Our big dogs love it up there and will spend every minute in the lake. Sam will chase anything you throw into the water!

This time next week I will be kicking off the summer with my sister at the beach. We are taking a sisters trip for a few days just to get away. I can't wait. I hate going with out Patrick but we have so many weddings and things this year that he has to ask off for that he can't use his off days for this trip! This is my sisters last summer as she is going into her senior year at Alabama! She is trying to get an internship. So hopefully that will work out for her.

I'm so excited for this summer because I will be taking two photography classes at Samford one night a week for about 10 weeks. One class is 5 weeks and the other will start the day after the first one ends. I am so happy to finally be doing this. I've been talking about it for months and I am actually going to get to do it! I love taking pictures and to get to learn more about how to do it and how to do it well thrills me to death! I'll will be posting about what I am learning.

My favorite summer memories are 1) Cheerleading camp! I hated it at the time but love the awesome memories I've taken away from it. 2)Everything about the lake but especially sitting on the deck eating grilled hamburgers enjoying the afternoon air. 3)Loading up the buick and heading to Panama City Beach and finally 4) My birthday!

Ally's Birthday

Okay so I know that some people might think this is a little but weird (and it is) but Saturday was Ally's first birthday so I decided to throw a party for her and a few of her friends came to celebrate! I really just thought the dogs would play and the owners would chat and that would be it! Well I had made some doggie cupcakes and I put Ally on the table and she dug in to them just like a child would have! It was the funniest thing I've seen in a while! Then it was time to open presents. So that is just what she did. She stuck her head in the bag and started draging the gifts out! It was like she knew exactly what she was supposed to do! I was so thrilled! I htink everyone had a great time.

I got to have some fun at work this week. I shot some photos of this cute puppy Molly. She comes to work (along with my bosses other two dogs and my Ally) . He wanted to get some pictures of her because she is growing so fast!

Wow! What a Weekend!

My sister-in-law has been out of town since Friday for a funeral. Which means it has taken my brother, mother, father, and I to make sure all four of their kids have been fed, bathed, and got where they needed to be all weekend. She is coming home tomorrow! Thank God! I don't know if we could do it another day!

Which I've been lucky because I've mostly just had the two older ones! Saturday we started at 9:30 at the soccer fields! I stayed for one game because I got a call from my mother (who had the two babies one is 2years and one is 10 months) that she needed my help to get both of them to the Magnolia Festival. Also Ally was going to be competing in the Pooch Parade so we also had her! So my mother, Porter, Harper, Ally and I loaded up the car and headed to the festival. My dad was already there working so we knew we'd have a little help once we got there. I was just worried we'd never get there! It was tough. I have a whole new respect for mothers and I question my ability to ever be a good one! Once we got there it did calm down and was easier.
Ally was voted the "Peoples Choice" and we couldn't be prouder even if my mom and aunt were the only two that voted who knows how many times!

We went to church Saturday night so we could sleep late Sunday morning and go to Tuscaloosa because my younger brother and sister were competing in a "green" putt putt hole at Earth Fest. They built a putt putt hole out of recycled materials! It was so neat! They won "Most Innovative" and $250. Of course the have to split it 6 ways because there were so many on the team! We were so excited! Mom and I took Ava and Drew because we thought they'd enjoy playing the holes! On Our way home we were kinda between storms and saw the most incredible rainbow. It was the brightest one I've ever seen!

Then I kept Drew and Ava again so that I could take them to school this morning. I got them both bathed and the weather was bad and they didn't want to watch James Spann so they went to bed. They woke themselves up this morning (which is awesome because I used to have to be pulled out of bed by my hair!). We all got where we needed to be on time! I was proud of myself! Now I just have to pick them both up from school one at 11:30 the other at 3:00! I'm looking forward to my night alone! I deserve it!

I wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Easter! I love any excuse for a family get together! I am very close to my family! Although I know not everyone shares this joy! I also understand that the older we get the harder it is to get everyone together in the same place at the same time! In fact my family was never all together this weekend. Some didn't "feel well" while others had other obligations. It makes me sad that everyone didn't make more of an effort to spend a few hours together. I was also very upset that I didn't get to hunt not one Easter egg. Not one! We usually have a hunt at my Grandmothers for the "kids" but we didn't this year! I wanted to get a photo of my brother's family then of the four of us but never did because we were never all together. I really shouldn't worry because we actually see each other a lot (at least once a week, well not the college kids but the rest of us) I was just really upset. I was more upset because Patrick didn't get up and go to church with me but I understood that he had only had 6 hours of sleep in two days. Anyways enough rambling!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame..

Friday night Patrick and I went to the ball park to watch his nephew play baseball. This is something I am not sure I can handle if I ever have a boy. I could not believe how intense these people are at 5 and 6 years old. Now I'm not going to lie the games were close and even I got a bit nervous. I just wanted to boys to win because all I'd heard was how bad they were and yes from parents. When did baseball quit being about having fun and learning? I really not an unreasonable person. I think we should keep score unlike some programs but why are we putting so much pressure on these kids to always win? It was almost more than I could take. I understand that some kids put the pressure on themselves but sometimes parents are pressurign their kids and don't even realize it. It makes me so nervous about having kids. It is so easy to see when you are on the outside. I'm afraid I won't know if I am pressuring them if I am in the situation. Where is the happy medium?

Happy Anniversary!

Saturday was our 1st anniversary! I can't believe how fast time files! It seems like just last week we were dancing at the wedding! We had a wonderful day together. Patrick surprised me and was off work Saturday. He made out like he wasn't going to be able to get off. I was so excited! It was nice to just hang out and not have to go anywhere! The first anniversary gift is traditionally paper and more modernly clocks. So I made Patrick a little scrapbook of the highlights of the year. It was so fun to look back at everything that has gone on.

Tuesday Patrick and I escaped to the lake for about 24 hours! My brother's family is on spring break and my sister and brother were also on spring break so they were all up there. Also my aunt and uncle were there. It is so nice to just get away to relax! I know I've said it before but the lake is my favorite place to be! Just thought I would share a few pictures from the trip!
